How to make a chart stable? even though if the user makes different selections the listboxes the chart should not be affected?

Add {1} to the expression which will then lock the chart's expression and won't change based on any selections made.

For a more specific field, you can use {<FieldName = >}, for example you can use {<Year = >} which will not change on any selections made in Year list box, but will change on other selections.

In the chart properties\ general tab you can check the Detach option. After that the chart won't respond to any further selections
