I have a user which asked if it is possible to clone a worksheet.
This way the user doesn't have to create a worksheet himselve and also doesn't have to clone all objects an move them to the newly created worksheet.
I saw in the menu (right mouse click) a grayed-out item for cloning a worksheet.
Does anyone know if it is possible to clone a worksheet (on Accesspoint side)?
thx in advance,
Anita
Hello Anita,
You can check for the Sheet Properties -> Security and then make sure all the check boxes, except Remove Sheet (if not requried) is checked and give a try.

hi,
certainly doesn't seem to be the case out of the box in v8.5. I take it your users have full qv installed on their workstations even if they are accessing with IE plugin?
In v8.5 users in this case cannot clone objects. But even those that have the full qlikview whilst able to clone objects cannot manipulate sheets when using the plugin. In the desktop version this is available for those same users.
I did look at the properties ... but al boxes are checked on the security tab.
Our users do not have the Qlikview development application, but only the access via the AccessPoint using the IEPlugin.
Do you mean the user cannot clone because the user has Qlikview application installed on their own computer?
Manipulate objects is not what they search for ... the user wishes not to clone only the single objects, but a whole sheet ...
hi,
no that is not what I meant.
Firstly be clear that my answers relate to qv8.5 so things may have changed afterwrads.
If the users access with plugin documents on the server they cannot clone objects on server documents unless they also have full qlikview deployed on their workstations.
And even if they have full qlikview they cannot via the plugin copy sheets.
So my answer to your initial question is no this is not possible for users in v8.5. Later versions may be different.
hope this is clearer.
good luck.
