connecting MySql Database on linux platform

Dear Community,

I have Mysql database on linux server which is on public ip.

     Qlikview is running on my  windows machine.

please somebody guide me how to connect mysql database from qlikview.

(procedure for creating ODBC connection on linux server).

i highly appreciated your help.

Hi Mohammed,

well, there should be ODBC connectors available for Linux - depending on which distro you have... just have a look, there's plenty of sites around with OSS for Linux.

The procedure from QlikView then is the same as for a Windows-hosted SQL database, you can use SQL in QlikView - or there's even a Wizard to both connect (create a connect_string in the script) and select data.

Dear ,

On Linux server mysql version:  MySQL 5.0.95.

so do i need to install the same mysql 5.0.95 connector on my machine?
