count of date field based on a date dimension

I would like to have a table where the dimension is the date with the sum values.

Apart from it, I would also like to have related to the date the number of new users (user add date) for each date.

I am not being able to link in an expression the count of new users (based on user add date) with the date.

At the end I solved the issue creating a canonical calendar.
