countries should be fetched from web

Hello everyone,

I am very new to QlikView. But i have got one task which i am not able to perform. I have one listbox which contains ip addresses. The second listbox contains the countries. If i select one ip address then the associated country to that ip address gets highlighted.

But my task is that the countries should be fetched from web and when i select a particular ip address then country associated with that ip address should be fetched from web. Is there any solution to this??

actually i have one file. In that i have mapped some ip addresses to countries manually. But what if ip addresses increases. So mapping it manually would be a very tedious task.

So i want a solution where i could map numerous ip address with associated countries.

I understand. I dont know where you can find this. Maybe you can use the IP range per country and generate the IP and use this in Qlikview?

It is only a idea.

For example from here:

Country IP Ranges Generator

Dynamically looping through thousands of IP adresses and getting back the country for each is possible to do.

You can do this in your Qlikview or Qlik Sense script with the REST connector using for instance this API
