Hi All,
Please find attached QVW file.
Please suggest the created data model is perfect or not.
Thanks
Hi Deepak,
I am not able to see why Sector_D table is showing @1,@2,@4 even though you renamed them. I even don't see why it loaded four columns when you just loaded 3 fields in script.
I think you you forgot to reload before sharing. Just check.
Hi Deepak,
Looks the data model construction u attempting to make is correct. But I need u to cross check whether u want the Sector_D to be an INLINE table or not.
Because i suppose that SECTOR_D is not related to the 'Raw_Indicator_by_Country_F' (facts) table in anyway.
If none of this is your choice, try Reloading once again and for SECTOR_D dimension is reflecting the names as needed.
I don't think that this will work in that you have loaded Location, Country and Region independently of each other. It will mean that you can only select an item from either Country, Location or Region as there is no cross-referencing.
So in a selection of Location L1, this will only be able to be seen at the unselected levels of Country and Region. This means that a report would not be able to see Country C1 and (say) Location L1 selected at the same time.
The table below shows how your data between Location (L1 to L3) and Region (R1 to R3) are loaded:
Region/Location | L1 | L2 | L3 | |
---|---|---|---|---|
R1 | Data | |||
R2 | Data | |||
R3 | Data | |||
Data | Data | Data | Data |
I hope that this makes sense and helps
