excluding values

Hi all,

Kindly from the forums found about 'Always One Selected Value'; however, on our current app with have a list box with 5 options. We want to alwyas be using 4 with the 5th to stay unselected. Is there a way to do this on the same princvipla so when you clear the 4 options stay selected and 5th categorie stays exlcuded?

Cheers

Chris

Hi Chris,

You can set it as a clear state.

To do this, select all the 4 options which you want to remain selected, click on the drop down near the clear button in menu and click on "Set Clear State".

Clear.bmp

This way, whenever you will clear, those 4 options will remain selecetd.

Hope this helps!

You could try using triggers, but I would suggest creating a listbox to select the one value to exclude, instead the four values to include.

I can make it so that selecting 1 value will invert the selection and that selecting more than one value will clear the selection. See attached qvw.

But Stefan's solution is a cleaner way to do this.
