i currently did left(Blige_Disposal_Date,8) and for that my data is coming like  20161215..I want to have it in the form  2016-12-15 format..

you Need to Format it to your requirements.

date(date#(left(text(Disposal_Date), 8),'YYYYMMDD'),'YYYY-MM-DD')
