google map extension objects.

hello everybody..i am new to qlikview extension objects..can antbody pls help me in understand how to add google map in qlikview ..i reffered many community post bt failed to undersatnd..i treid bt am not getting google map..

i also want to do drill down in google map for ex i hav region ,country and state.

so i want to drill down from region to country to state..

Any help is appreciated.

Hi Monica,

1)First download the extension and place it in your desktop.

2)rename the Extension of the file as .Qar and double click on it.

3) Then open qlikview file and click web view in the top

4) right click on the page

5) go to new sheet object

6) click extension on the bottom

7)  there you will see the extension available

😎 drag and drop it on the sheet

9) right click on the object and add the dimensions in the properties

hi monica..

download the attached files and double clik them to add the extension objects in your directory.

now when you enable the web view in your qvw, and right clik in the empty space in the sheet you will have an option for extended objects.

select it and from there select the map type you want for your qvw. drag and drop in the sheet to ad the map.

now right clik on the map object and select the dimensions latitude and longitude in the respected fields.

also mention an expression that you want to display in your map.

press F5 to reload.

please check whether the web view is enabled or not.

also chechk whether the files got correctly copied in the directory after you doubled clik the extension.qar file
