how to add columns to already set

in the create app, suppose I chose 3 columns from the server table. Now later I want to add 3 more new columns, am not seeing how to do this other than redo from scratch. How to add on the fly?

What do you mean on the fly?

You can add columns to current script code or create new table and join or concatenate(depends on columns).

If you can share your app or code you will get more accurate answer.

From the question it is not clear whether you want to add 3 new columns in the QlikView front end charts or in load script? Lets say its in the chart and a straight table, in that case load all the 6 columns in the load script and in Straight table properties >> Presentation you can show/hide the column(s).
