How can we create or display prompts in dashboard like microstrategy?

I typically use a text object with a display condition, when I have the need to display a prompt to the user.  You can even include additional text objects (or buttons) on the main prompt to provide things such as "Yes", "No", "Ok", "Cancel" just as you would see on a standard windows prompt.  If you want a prompt that allows the user to enter a value look into input boxes.

Ask yourself (or your customer; who ever is asking the question) what you really want to achieve. Tell us that and maybe we can give you a more fitting solution .

Trying to rebuild a technical function from one tool into a different tool usually results in "use case mismatches" because of details of implementation not lining up. Every problem has a solution, which might be different per tool.
