I want to refresh a qvd every week so that i dont have to refresh it manually every week. What could be the solution
Hi,
do you use Qlikview server ? with publisher maybe ?
If it is on Server, then you can set the same in QMC.
If you want to achieve the same on Desktop, you can run a macro.
Check the below link. It might help.

Jesh
Using QlikView Server definitely, and Publisher if you have it.
no i dont have access to it
Use Windows Task Scheduler to open, reload, and close your QVD Generator.
can someone guide me about the steps how to do it with macros? Like
1.writing a macro
2.writing a batch file
3.and then what??
is there any example or should i attach my qvw?
Hi Trishita
You can use the following steps:
1. Create a batch file to reload your QVW from certain location.
2. Use Windows Task Scheduler to run it on specific time (daily or weekly).
Please refer to the attached batch file for reference.
Please note that if you have a Publisher on your server, you can schedule it on your server.
Regards
Rajiv.
