how to use dimension as a column in pivot table

Hello,

I have two dimensions and one measure. I want one dimension to appear as a row, the other dimension to appear as a column, and the measure to be the value for those dimensions. For example

date1 date2 date3 date4

job1 123 456 009 768

job2 678 897 890 788

job3 23 89 8 0

Can someone please guide me how can i give the above presentation to a pivot table/straight table in Qlikview

Create a normal pivot table with the two dimensions. Then in the table, drag the date dimension header (you'll see a marker when you start dragging) to the top of the table, and the marker will change to horizontal. Drop it there and you will have a cross table.

Hope that helps

Thanks Jonathan,

This is what i want, but i can't drag the column header. I am trying but i am not seeing any marker there. The only marker i can see is the + marker, with which i can extend or narrow the column width. Can you please help

I have a similar situation. But I am unable to drag and make it a transpose. The blue marker is always vertical and do not change to horizontal.

Using straight table i was able to do, but for Pivot transposing a column to dimensions as column names is not working.

I know this post is old, but as I found the answer I'll share it for anyone else in the future.  I had the same problem and was trying to drag the header to the left, but you actually need to drag the header to the right instead.  I know that doesn't make sense, but when I dragged the header left all I could get was the vertical blue arrow.  When I dragged it over to the right and down a little it would turn horizontal.  Hope that helps someone!
