How to do the comparision of two string?

set key = "t_bpid|t_nama|t_ccur";

set newkey = "t_bpid|t_nama|t_seak|t_ccur";

 

          if $(key)<>$(newkey) then

You need single quotes around the variables like:

if '$(key)' <> '$(newkey)' then
