let users selcet either max date - month - quarter - year

hello,

probably an easy question here but...

I have an excel file loaded into qlikview that contains an appointment date , appointment datetime, the arrival datetime and the difference between the appointment datetime and the arrival datetime

I created a chart showing the average of the difference between the appointment datetime and the arrival datetime

I wanted to add a selctor that allows the use to select either...

1) the max date in the dataset

2) the week of the max date

3) the previous month

4) the previous quarter

is this possible? Any direction is appreciated.

Yes, it's possible. It's probably easiest to create a small helper table in the script that contains the selection options.

I'm not sure what you intend to select though. If you want to select in two fields at the same time using only one selector you're probably going to be disappointed. Perhaps you can post a small qlikview document that makes clear what you want.
