limited load in debug mode is ignored

Hi Forum,

Last week i installed qv 10 sr2. Its working fine. However, when i limit the amount of rows to be loaded (to for example 10) in debug mode, the limitation is ignored. The script loads all data, ignoring my limitation [:S]. It happens to all connections e.g. SAP, xlsx, sql...

Havent found a related post yet. Anyone a clue?

Regards,

Tjeerd

This is actually a confirmed issue with Qlikview 10 SR2 X64 8935, there is a patch available for 8940 from Qliktech if you contact support that fixes the issue. You just have to replace the Qlikview.exe file. Contact support to resolve it!

I found the reason. QlikView 10 SR2 isnt fully compatible with files created in 8.x.

Files created in 8.x cannot be limited loaded in 10 sr2.

Files in created in 10 SR2 can be limited loaded without a problem.

I also had the same compatibility problem with changing the background colour for files created in 8.x.

what about QVD's created using QV10 SR2?  The limitation was initially acknowledged and after a few crashes, the limitation is now being ignored.

I'm afraid this isn't anything to do with loading files from 8.x we have never had it installed and are still having the same issue from 10 SR2. Files created fresh in 10 SR2 still have the same problem. It only manifests itself when running on the server though, when using the client for 10 SR2 the limited load seems to work fine.

Having just done a bit of investigating both of the systems I'm working on have 10 SR 2 10.00

8935.7 installed, however one version is X64 and the other X86, the X64 version is installed on our sever, perhaps the X64 version has this issue?

Very possible because I'm working off x64 on a laptop.

There has to be some other reason. I just tried a new script completely created in version 10.00.8935.7 SR2 64 bit, and the script completely ignores the limited load option.

Any ideas?

Thanks.
