Hi Ajay,

If i am not wrong, qlikview desktop  is the tool/Platform which can be installed on your machine and develop an application/document on that platform. This QV desktop can be downloaded from 'Qlik' downloads.

Based on your machine's OS, you can download any one among these

Windows x86 (32bit)

Windows x64 (64bit)

Windows 8 (64bit).

let me know what 2 versions you've downloaded.

Thanks

krishna

QlikView and Qlik Sense are two different tools, they are not "linked".

The only things I can think about:

- You can create an application in QV Desktop, and open it in QS.  The data model will be there, but not the front end.  You'll have to create front end from scratch in QS.

- You can create an app in QS which is using binary load from an existing QV application.  Again, you'll have to create front end in QS.

Actually, QlikView and Qlik Sense are two different products that share a common origin. Their architecture is different in many places (user interface, business service set-up, cost) but the two have many similarities as well (cf. load scripts).

Sooner or later, they will merge again into a single product (QV12?) or into two incarnations of the same philosophy. Who knows what the future will bring? It will be exciting...

As Michael and Peter stated you should consider Qlik Sense and QlikView as two separate products. Starting with QlikView 12 (release in 2nd half of 2015) both products will have the same Qlik engine, which means that functions in load scripts and calculations will be processed in the same way. Data is also stored in the same way in memory in both products, for this reason you can use Binary load to fetch data from a QlikView application (QVW) file into a Qlik Sense app.

QlikView Data (QVD) files created in QlikView can also be loaded into Qlik Sense. Currently the QVD file structure is currently different between Qlik Sense and QlikView, so you are not able to load Qlik Sense generated  QVD files into QlikView.
