Hi,
I have 2 questions regarding listbox selection:
1. how can I select all values in one list box but exclude some certain values? (like in excel advance filter: not contains / not equals to)
for example I want to select everything in product but not Cap and Halter Dress.
2. if I have a column with only 1 value in table A, when I have multiple listboxes, and I want to see the reflection of other listboxes when the record is not in table A.
e.g.:
the customer column has only one value. I want to see the product not ordered by Big Foot Shoes, the key is AAA.
Thank you
1. The simplest way would be to select both values and reverse afterwards the selection - this is an option within the context-menu from these listbox.
2. If you select one customer you could see per default all products which he didn't ordered in the listbox - this are the values with the grey background.
There are of course further possibilities of advanced searches directly within the listbox or per expression but like above mentioned there are easier ways to get the right insights. Nevertheless here is a very good explanation for this: Compound Search - demystified

1. 'AND-mode' in List box
Forced exclusion (sometimes referred to as NOT-selection) is closely related to the AND-selection. The forced exclusion makes it possible to explicitly exclude a field value, which means that the solutions found by QlikView may not be associated with the excluded value.
The forced exclusion is made by clicking a cell and keeping the mouse button pressed until the cell turns red. Ctrl-clicking in this manner is equivalent to an exclusion that is an additional requirement to the previous selections/ exclusions. The forced exclusion can only be made on a field that is in AND-mode.
