my QV app when i click on reload script , it will hung

Hi All

My QV app suddenly behave funny.  not sure where i go wrong ? it is due to windows 8 issue ? as this only happen today, last 3 month not issue with win 8. and last 3 yr with win XP does have such issue happen to me.

what happen is yesterday , i have issue when i reload the script , QV app does not pop up a massage box to show me what QV does , like now reading 80000 row of rec from sales table , and next show me master calendar creation and some on and on. so it still can reload my script , except i need to keep waiting for it to finish.

So i thinking it mine me QV app hv some issue, i re-install the QV again , after install when i try to open my QV doc it show no issue. ( since i can open meaning it have license )

next is when i try to click on reload script , it just refuse reload and just hung , and i have force quite QV app.

Hope some one can share with me what i should do to make it work ?

hmm....

it might be due to two reasons..

One is your QV installation got corrupted.. but in your case you have reinstalled it...

Other is your ODBC or OLEDB drivers got corrupted... try to load some data in new file using xl or some local files..

I try to create a new qv doc . Load small excel data. It also hung. What else I should try ?

ok.. that means some reg files got currupted..

uninstall your QV. stop all the services running for QV.. delete reg related to QV..

after that restart and install the fresh copy of QV installation.. get it from Qllikview.com website

Before i delete the reg , am i right to said that i delete the whole folder i circle on the enclosed image ? after delete , may i knowhow to stop all the QV servicing running , it using task manager to force the app to stop running , pls confirm ?

I can't wait yr reply, so i go ahead delete the reg edit of QV.

And i just install , and now it run okay and very well.
