regarding the use of input box

i want my input box to accept my username and then qlikview should search for the user name through out the data field(which i already uploaded), and i want this condition to be in a button object to (conditionally show itself ) if username found on the list

any idea??? how to do that ?

I didn't know why and how you are comparing with Username and Date field? Perhaps this?

If(Index(Username_Field, $(Variable)), 1,0)

for e.g, if i inputted 'india' in the input box, the condition should check in the list of countries

and see if 'india' is a country and give me an output according to it
