reporting previous range of period

Hi , I am looking for a way to select one period ( in this case month 02) and that i can see in the tabel the sales starting from month 01 till the selected month.

But i als want to show an arrow mentioning if the diff  ( Target-Sales) on the selected month ( in this case 60 for month 01 vs 50 for month 01) is higher or lower that the diff on the previous period.

This means if i have a complete year set of data and selecting 09 (sept) that the Diff for the period jan-sept is compared to the Diff of Jan- aug.

Any suggestions?
