Hi
I have been trying to get this to work all morning and cannot find any examples on here similar.
I have attached a small subset example as an illustration. I would like to show a table of SKU's (with no selections in place) by Year and month showing the sum([Qty sold]) and rowno(). I would like the rowno() to start from 1 to n for each SKU:
My thoughts had been along the line of:
=aggr(rowno(total),[Stock no],Year, Month)
but both with and without the total argument I am having no success.
Am I using the correct function? I this even possible? and if so please could someone be kind enough to demonstrate?
Thanks in advance.
Oli
See attached qvw.
Excellent.
So to summarize, I was really using the wrong function(s)
Thank you for your help (and so quickly too ).
Hi
Further to my original question (in an effort to better learn QlikView as a tool); Is there a way to achieve this result without referring to itself? What I mean by that is - your solution (which is clever) as you know adds one to the row above (if it is not the first instance of the SKU), but what if I wanted to use this expression (or rather the result) inside another expression.
This poses a problem. I appreciate you have answered my question already, but I wonder is there any other possibilities...?
Thank you for your time.
Oli
