I just work with a file. I am saving it and closed. when i try opening it.it says failed to load. i tried the ester egg settings..but it didnt work.
even i just open it and save it with the same name it is not allowing me to open.
is there any reason or settings behind?
Try to open the document with out data
Yes, Nizam. I tried that already. It is working. But whenever I take the target file and i start doing even a minor change and save it, it becomes non openable file. It says the dashboard failed to load.
Even if i just open the target file and save it and reopen it, it is not working.
What is your application size .How many facts and dimensions are there do you have any issues in data model like circular ref, synthetic key.
Hi,
I would agree with the above statement, it sounds like section access issues. As mentioned always backup first.
Make sure you are bring in the NTNAME correctly,
DOMAIN\USERNAME, note the capitals. To check the what QlikView is expecting, add a text box with =OSUser(), this will give you domain name and user.

File size 150MB. RAM is 7GB
My issue explaining again:
I have a file test.qvw saved in folder D:\
I open the file and save it as testv1.qvw file not opening.
But i open the file test.qvw, i am able to.
Whatever minor savings like just changing the font size of the chart and save the file, i cannot open.
I always able to open the file test.qvw, but if i save it and reopen i cannot.
I am not reloading the file just saving it.
data model is perfect no synthetic keys..ciruclar references..
just open the file and save it and reopen it...its throwing error the dashboard file failed to load
IF SECTION ACCESS IS THE ISSUE...WHY THE FILE OPENED 1ST TIME IN THE SAME SYSTEM.
HOW SAVING THE FILE WITH ANOTHER NAME AND REOPENING WILL AFFECT THE SECTION ACCESS?
@ AVINASH
I HAVE THE BACKUP...BUT YOU ARE NOT UNDERSTANDING THE ISSUE.
iF I open the backup file and do even a minor change and save with different name or even with the same name it is not opening.
Sorry Gautham, I am not able to replacate the issue.
Are you using personal addition of Qlikview ??
try this once
1.Open QlikView Application -> Help -> About QlikView -> Left side bottom you will see QlikView logo, right click on the logo, a new window will open.
2.Here find the variable called "ApplicationRescue" click on that, set the value 1 and click on set.
3.Close qlikview and then try to open your corrupted qlikview application.
Hope this might help you
