Hi,

The AccessPoint is the QlikView web portal that allows users to see and open different QlikView applications. To make a QVW document available you only need to give the right permissions and copy that file in the QlikView Server folder.

Once the document is properly set up in the QlikView Server, any allowed user can get to the AccessPoint using just any web browser.

This is the generic scenario, do you have any particular question in this regard?

Hope that helps.

Is there any way other than access point throug which we can share application

Miguel_Angel_Baeyens

Hi,

There is, indeed. The AccessPoint creates URLs after verifying that the user has access to the server, in the form:

http://localhost/QvAJAXZfc/opendoc.htm?document=Folder/QlikViewFile.qvw&host=QVS@servername

But you can use a iOS app that is coming in the new SR2 release of version 11 and allows offline view (not available at the moment of writing), or the IE Plugin, as in previous versions, by using QVP pseudo URLs. This QVP requires some configuration in both Server and Client, and of course, the use of Internet Explorer browser.

Hope that helps.

Hi Miguel

we used to open the document with the following url

http://server/QvAJAXZfc/opendoc.htm?document=something.qvw

After updating QV to a newer version the following msg appears:

Fail to open document. You dont have access to document.

What might be wrong.

Thank you for you help
