sorting problem

Quick question for Experts ,

I have a pivot table with 2 nested rows, Customer_Number & Customer_Name.

What I want to do is sort Cutomer_Name alphabetical. I tried many ways but it does not work.If I put Customer_Number as the second row , it works but when it's in the first row I can not sort the Cstomer_Name alphabetically.

Any idea is appreciated......

Thanks,

Nima

Hi Nima,

I think you can do this by not checking any sort option for the Customer_Number on the Sort tab of the pivot table. For Customer_Name choose Text A-Z.

If you still can't get it done, I think it would be helpfull to upload a demo qv document. In that way we know more specific what you are talking about.

Kind regards,

Henco

Hi,

Try using the Expression option in sort tab.

Check/Select Expression option and give

=Cstomer_Name

and select Ascending.

Hope it helps you.

Jagan.
