sum of function Mode

Hello i have for a table a function with mode. In a table there is a total of rows with this code:

Mode ({< ***********={"*******"}>} *******************)/************

Only if i want to use this in a chart i get no total, my chart will be empty. How can i use this funtion mode to get a total in a chart?
