two bar chart questions .. layout

1. how can i fix the width of the bar (min and max)? when i select a year, the bar gets stretched

2. how can i remove some of the titels (days) under a bar chart? when i select days the day under the bar chart gets pretty grouded. I want only to show the first day of the week as a label under the bar chart.

In reponse to point 2: you can set the dimension to Continuous (under the Axes tab) and then set the axis 'step' so if you set that to be in line with a week you'll only get one value per week. You could also look at using the weekstart() function although this will remove some of your data points.

Regarding point 1: I'd suggest that you wouldn't want to keep the width of the bar no matter how many entries there are as currently everything is kept in proportion. As an option you could look to 'Show all Values' on the dimension so that the X-axis remains persistent even when selections are made.

that wont quite work . because i work with a grouped dimensions (several date dimensions) .. and i only want to do this with days .. not with months
