unable to read .xlsx file

Hi All,

I am having some .xlsx files feeding into qlikview.

When I reload my dashboard it is unable to read the excel file.

I need to open & save the excel file & then qlikview is able to read it.

I have around 25 excels feeding into qlikview and need to manually open & save everytime before refreshing my dashboard.

please help ...

means? after reload what error your facing?

can you share one sample excel file?  to test ?

Hi Nitya,

Are you using an ODBC connection to open the Excel file? Table files is a wizard to open and load some of the most usual file types, such xls or xlsx. The ODBC is completely different, and treats the Excel file as a database actually generating a SQL statement to pull data from the file.

If you use the Table File button you will not have any Database Field because you are not loading from a database.

That should not normally be necessary. Are the files secured using Excel password security? Are you reading from a source such as Sharepoint or FTP? Are the files stored as binaries?

No ,I Do not use odbc connection to open my excel.

I use the table files options as mentioned above

These are .xlsx files that get exported from SAS software .

My guess is the problem is that .If I open these exported .xlsx file on my desktop & save them and then reload all is fine

@ !I am attaching sas output .xlsx file here.Try loading this file in qlikview and let me know what you guys see ,,

I don't even see a preview of the data .

btw I use qlikview 11.2 sr16  version
