Can't save one of my applications (.tmp created with 0 bytes)

Hello,

I have an application that use a "-prj" folder, to track my changes.

I've just switched to 11.2 SR 12 desktop, and now, I can't save my application anymore.

- I open my application

- I click "save"

--> a file "MFC8E6F.tmp" is created with 0 bytes, and nothing

- I click "save as..." and specify a new name

--> a file with the new name is created, with 0 bytes.

I'm stuck and I can't save my application anymore...

When I remove the "QlikViewProject.xml" file in the -prj folder, my application can be saved.

I don't understand what is the problem with THIS file.

Take a back-up of your QVW and -prj folder. Then delete the actual -prj folder, open the QVW and save it. Then create -prj folder, open the QVW again and save it to create files in the -prj folder. If everything works fine, you may delete the back-up.

Problem is: my latest modifications are in the -prj folder, not in the QVW file.

Try recreating QVW using -prj folder contents.

-> Rename existing QVW with some other name.

-> Create new QVW file. Save it with the actual file name.

-> QlikView throws a warning window to overwrite the project files. Click 'No'.

-> Close the file (Don't save it again). Open the file, reload and save. (You may have to provide the definition of variables again).

Let me know if it works.

I tested in 11.20SR12

A workaround is to save by using the   X  (see attached). Ctrl+ S is not doing the job correctely,

Hi again,

If using X does not help (it worked for me) you can also, when creating a new application
(1) save it using a different name.
(2) After right-click on it( the new saved app) and give the required name.

This also works as well.

This creates a new document with the new name, but the file is 0 bytes.

Hello,

The problem is I can't reload the application.

What is stopping you from reloading the application? And did you follow the steps I have listed down?
