Full accumulate in Trellis Chart

Hi Qliks!

I have problems with performing "full accumulation" in the Trellis chart. Please see the enclosed example file.

The application shows the data presented in two trellis charts. In the dataset I have included the accumulated value which is presented in the chart as "Truth".

  • One chart uses the "Full accumulate" function
  • The other chart calculates the accumulation via a rangesum() formula

But - neither of the charts gives me the right accumulated value - only the second chart for category "a" using the rangesum() seems to match...

Thanks for your always valuable feedback!

Lars,

it looks like the "Full Accumulation" doesn't work well with Trellis - I think it deserves to be reported as a bug.

On the other side, your solution with Rangesum() will work fine, just remove the "Full Accumulation" setting from the expression, and you'll see that the green and the red lines become identical.

cheers,

FYI - QlikView support have told me this will not be fixed as it is WAD (Works as Designed). Seems ridiculous to me.

There seems to be a lot of bugs with Trellis charts. Upgrading to SR5 from SR2 fixed a number of them but others still remain. It's a shame as trellis charts can be very effective.

Works as Designed? Seriously?

Any idea if they will change? i'm stuck with this... any tips?

Thanks.
