Problem opening Qv 8.5 files in a licensed Qv 9

Hi,

My problem it's basically the one on the subject.

I started to work with Qv 8.5 waiting to get the license. Now, that I finally got it, can't open all what I've done, and, as far as I know, it shouldn't be any problem because now my Qv9 (Personal Edition) has a license.

I asume that the problem is because of the version, you know that the 9 it suppose to open only the files done with that version but I'm not sure.

I asked already to my license provider, but, have that happened to any of you? What you think the problem is?

Your assumptions are not correct. Any QlikView version should be able to open any previous version QVW file since 7.52. So if you are opening 8.5 version QVW in QV9, it should work fine provided you have a licenes - either standalone developer or borrowed from the server.

Why don't you create a ticket for QlikView support to check and give you a solution.

Your QlikView partner should take care of that. Please check with the company you bought licenses from.

Other option is to use your Customer portal on the QlikView.com site.
