QV Analyzer x64 takes forever to open

I have QV x64 installed on a computer with Windows server 2003 and it takes almost 15 minutes to load. After I run qv.exe I can see the process lingering in the task list but nothing happens until minutes later. Any ideas why this can be happening?

If reinstalling does not help, I'd check with procmon (filtering on Qv.exe) what is going on. Perhaqps that could help.

Are you using V9 SR4?

We had serious performance issues with SR4 but they appeared to be very specific to us, I think it was related to a QVW file that contained many objects in a single sheet (well over one hundred charts). We have dropped back to SR3 to resolve it.

If you are just opening the app without a QVW then this is probably not the cause of your problem, but it might just be worth installing SR3.
