sorting in the list box based on another field

In a list box, I am displaying month field and I want to sort according to another file (say period). These two fields are from the same table and the corresponding is as below:

Month   Period

Oct          1

Nov         2

Dec         3

Jan          4

Feb          5

Mar          6

Apr          7

May         8

Jun          9

Jul           10

Aug          11

Sep           12

So in the sort field, I have used ascending expression =Period . but the result is not as expected. Any idea? thanks

Can you please share the result? Other options of sorting like "State" or "Text" is off?

What you mean "not as expected", What are you expecting to see after sorting option enabled?
