Firewall Port information for LSF client integration with Qlikview

Hi,

Which FW port should be open to communicate to LsF client from Qlikview Server.  LsF Client is triggering the Bat files placed at Qlikview server.

Any help/information would be really helpful.

Thanks in advance!

However, I can provide you with some general guidelines on how to approach the integration and identify potential firewall port requirements:

  1. Determine Communication Flow: Understand how the LSF client and QlikView need to communicate with each other. This could involve LSF triggering certain jobs, tasks, or data processes in QlikView or vice versa.

  2. Check Documentation: Consult the official documentation of both IBM Spectrum LSF and QlikView. These documents often provide guidance on required network configurations, including port numbers and protocols.

  3. Port Ranges: LSF and QlikView might use different ports based on their services and communication protocols. Common protocols include HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP, and more. Depending on the communication methods you're using, you might need to open specific port ranges for bidirectional communication.

  4. Firewall Rules: Once you have the necessary information, work with your network or system administrator to configure the firewall rules. Ensure that the necessary ports are open for inbound and outbound traffic between the LSF client and the QlikView server.

  5. Security Considerations: While it's important to open the required ports, always prioritize security. Only open ports that are necessary for the integration, and follow best practices to secure your communication and data.

  6. Testing: After configuring the firewall rules, thoroughly test the integration to ensure that the LSF client and QlikView can communicate seamlessly. Monitor the logs for any issues related to connectivity.krowd darden com
