Unable to Add Data Connections in Qlik DataTransfer (v10.4.0 & v10.4.2) – “Request aborted” Error

Hi community,

I'm currently experiencing an issue with Qlik DataTransfer in versions 10.4.0 and 10.4.2. When I try to add a new data connection, the interface gets stuck loading and never completes the operation. Eventually, an error appears that says:

"No se pudieron cargar las conexiones: Request aborted"
(Translation: “Connections could not be loaded: Request aborted”)

This happens consistently every time I click the “Add” button to create a new connection. The rest of the interface seems responsive, but I’m unable to proceed with uploading data from a data connection.

I’ve attached a screenshot for reference.
Any ideas or suggestions on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!Captura de pantalla 2025-05-12 103537.png

Hi @DianaN_M1 !

In my uses cases, I generally create my Qlik Apps and configure Data Transfer to read this apps instead of create a connection and read directly from database. Customizations in script load is not allowed.

Note:

Qlik Data Transfer is Deprecated, change to Qlik Data Gateway.

If you are installing Qlik Data Transfer on Qlik Server that runs all the services, It is obvious that it will be slow with the existing schedules that you have in place and also It may impact the server performance as well.

We had similar issue, Qlik suggested us to install Qlik Data Transfer on server/node other than the Qlik Central Node. Try installing in any other nodes/windows server and check.

Also as @rafaelencinas  suggested, try using Qlik Data Gateway. Its very safe and easy approach.
