Pls,
Can I ask how you does one setup the virtual server where qlikview server is installed to be accessed from anywhere else?
Thanks
Ayodele
Hi Ayodele,
Can you please give more information on what you want to do. A Virtual server setup would be the same as a physical server setup.
Bill
You can use VMWare image and set-up a server there, you can have it on a cloud like Amazon EC2 as well. Amazon has ready QlikView AMI, you just have to enter the Lisence Key.
thanks,

Thanks Guys,
We have been able to install the qlikview server but really stuck in trying to access the qlikview access point from another client machine.
I really do not if there's a need to setup something on QMC.
Thanks.

How are you giving the URL?
Hi Ayodele,
Did you found any solution ??
I am facing the same issue could you help me on this ?
Hi QlikPahadi07,
Yes, I have been able to solve accessing the virtual server from another machine if that's what you are referring to?
By the typing the i.p address/qlikviewservername
But the virtual server must be on a public domain, if its to be accessed from outside your network.
Then also the virtual server had to be set up to allow access externally.
I hope that helps?
Ayodele.

Hi,
this an old post, however I hope this helps:
I've tested QlikView server installed on a virtual environment using Oracle Virtualbox. In my opinion among all the Virtual machines available, it is one of the easiest to configure, besides it has versions available for Windows, Mac, Linux, Solaris. Also, I've had no troubles connecting to accespoint from other machines. An important point to mention is that probably you'll need to shut down windows firewall or open manually all the ports needed by QlikView Server,
