Domain of host drops when attempting to load QMS Service

I'm build a new C# project and attempting to add the Service Reference of QMS Service.

I type in the address

http://localhost:4799/QMS/Service

The localhost translates to host.domain.com.

The error that comes back is

There was an error downloading 'http://host:4799/QMS/Service?wsdl=wsdl0'    <- What happened to the domain?  it should be http://host.domain.com:4799/QMS/Service?wsdl=wsdl0.
