Hi, Will QlikView be releasing a Hive ODBC driver in the near future? Currently the only way to connect to Apache Hadoop data exposed via Hive is to use a third party ODBC or JDBC driver which incurs licensing cost. This is, unless an ODBC driver is available as part of a distributed version of Hadoop (e.g. Cloudera, Hortonworks, etc). We've tested these and technical they work as required, but licensing restricts us from using them on a non-distributed version of Hadoop.
Spotfire and Tableau both offer native Hadoop connectivity as part of their offering. Spotfire, to all versions of Hadoop.
