Hi
how can i get a drop down list (like in a web site) when clicking on a menu tab (say a text box). do you have any example on this?
thanks
Felipe
Yes you can. There are several ways to achieve this functionality. This is Just an example to show you how to create popup using text objects.
If you want to show the field values in drop down then I think you can create a multibox or you can keep all values in a variable and can use the variable properties > Predefined Values > Listed Values.
Yes Multi Box is also an option. and if you need drop down in Straight Table you can go to Straight table properties and mark check the 'Dropdown Select' box. Similarly there are other solutions too but It depends on how you want your dropdown to be displayed. You asked for a text box dropdown so I attached the example containing texbox dropdown.
Pivot table also have the dropdown option in its Properties. It all depends on how and where you want to use a dropdown.
Hope it Helped you.
Hide and display the List box(which should be placed below the Text box). Also make sure always one selected.
You mean like this!
I spent ages trying to get this working
Thanks Hannan
i thought something more like this (see picture). A drop down menu, like in a web site. I put the mouse pointer over a menu option and it shows a drop down menu, showing options, which are linked to data sets (they are my filters). I think a need an extension for this, right?
Yes you need an extension for that kind of functionality.
Or wait for Qlikview.Next
