Hi,
I've just performed a new QV 11 Server installation (SR1), but none of my QV services are running. And my system displays "Could not start QV …. Service. Error 1069: the service did not start due to logon failure” message when I am trying to launch them manually.
I am running QV Server 11 under Administrator account that has local Admin and QV Admin privelages. The OS is Windows Server 2003 SP2.
I would appreciate any suggestions how to resolve these issues.
Best regards,
Vladimir
The problem was resolved by creating a new user and re-installaing QVS with new credentials. I've tried to configure the original installation with existing users, but it did not help much (I've made some progress, but the issue was not completely resolved - see above).
Thanks everyone for suggestions!
Regards,
Vladimir
Hi,
it seems that you have provided wrong password for your QV Service account during installation or that password was changed later.
Try with this: on the server go to Start > Programs > Administrative Tools > Services.
Right-click the QV Server Service Name and select Properties.
Click the Log On tab. Retype the correct password. Start the service.
Also, check once again that account is member of the QlikView Administrators group.

Hi Vladimir,
Do as Krunoslav suggested..also make sure that there should not be any change in hostname and the required ports 4747/4735/4730/4750 should be open.
Hope all above combination should resolve your issue.

Hi Vladimir,
Check that the user that is present under log on tab of each services should also be a member of QV Administrator group and have sufficient rights to start any services on the system.
Hope this help,
Anosh
hello vladimir,
its due to login user name and password in your services.msc
run-> services.msc-qlikview server ->rightclick-> logon tab-> provide here your username(with domain like domain\username)_-> then afteer aapply start this service
do repeat for all services.
hope this helps
I do have port 4747 open, but I do not other ones you've mentioned listed in ports monitoring utility. I've made some changes in Services log-in (see my other comment), so the only service up and running is the QVS one.
Sunil,
Thanks for suggestion. It partially resolved my problem. I do have QV Server service up and running, but it's the only one. All other 4 are not running.
At one point I have 2 of them “Started” after re-boot (QV Server and QV Management Service), but other three (DirectoryService Connector, QV Distribution Service and QV Webserver) have “Starting”status. The attempt to start them manually stopped all services except QVServer and the message “QV … Service on local computer started and thenstopped. Some services stopped automatically if they have no work to do….”.
I will try to re-install the QV Server from scratch.
Anosh,
Yes, the user has all necessary rights and group association.

Is the service account a member of the local machine Administrator Group?
