Hi All,
I'm encountering an issue where I have an Excel document with multiple users and the times that they've done work for each month. Each user is available for a specific amount during each month and because they enter figures in for each day the values are replicated. Is there a way of finding the distinct values? I tried using =SUM(DISTINCT AvailableHours) which works fine providing each user is available for a different amount of hours. What I need is something that works to bring back each value only once per month.
If you are unsure what I mean please ask and I will try and elaborate more.
Thanks
Andrew
Could you post your spreadsheet?
or part of your data
Unfortunately not as the data we're dealing with is restricted data.
I can provide a couple of screenshots though.
Below is User A: This user was available for separate amount of days meaning that we could use the distinct as it would bring back separate values.
However User B is below. This user was available for the same amount of days so the figure in the box is showing '168' where the actual figure should be '336' as they were available for 168 hours in both months.
