ABC Analysis - Stock Value

Hi All,

I need to give stock items a class character depending on which category they sit in.

Each class refers to the % of Total purchase value for a given date period.

Class % of Total

A 70

B 20

C 10

D 0

I need to be able to use the class character as a dimension in pivot tables, or at least use it as a selectable field in a list box - hence it may not be best to use as an expression.

What are your thoughts?

See below, each of these stock items would sit in the top 70% of stock purchase value, so they need to be allocated an 'A'.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Rainer/ Guys,

How would you achieve the same result in the script?

I need to evaluate a Stock Item as an ABC class as a field in my data model. It will also need to be date specific (i.e. ABC evaluation will change based on some date parameters (i.e. year/month)).

Hi

I am also using this kind of an ABC-Analysis. Additional I need a graph showing the amount of companies sitting in A, B or C. - a bar chart.

is this possible?

(I`ve had no success ...)

thank you
