Accesspoint no server

Hi

I encountered this issue after the installation of latest Qlikview server as below :

Server (VM) 1 - all Qlikview components except Webserver

Server (VM) 2 - Webserver

Due to client requirements both servers have IIS installed.

These 2 VMs have different OS, domains as well as administrator accounts.

I have searched through the Internet and changed those settings as per advices from various contributors but I still cannot resolve this. I have done the followings in IIS in VM 2 :

1. to add various roles

2. allow ASP.NET under ISAPI & CGI Restrictions

3. update Identity of Qlikview IIs under Application Pools to that of administrator account

4. enable Windows Authentication under Authentication

5. add administrator account to IIS_IUSRS group

6. confirm that VM 1 name is inside <Machine> & <LinkMachineName> tags of config.xml of WebServer

When I viewed the log file I saw something like "Authentication Failed......".

Please help.

Thanks,

Eric

Did you configure the correct WebServer from VM2 in QMC? The WebServer only knows where to look for a QVS because the QMC tells it so. And (actually this should be my first question 🙂 ) where did you install the QlikView Settings Service? From your post I conclude that it is running on VM1 ("...all components except WebServer") and therefore will try to configure IIS on VM1...

Thanks Peter!

I actually installed the QlikView Settings Service in VM2; and I have configured VM2 as webserver in QMC which was installed on VM1.
