I need to know how to set up the Active Directory Authentication.
Now we are using the Custom Directory settings for the authentication. So, now if we want to change the authentication to AD, what do information i need to know? Does AD include the Configurable LDAP settings too? What is LDAP and its role?
The other thing is that our qlikview server is in a different domain and AD is in a different domain. So, do i need the configurable LDAP for two different domains?
If you have QlikView Server and Active Directory in different domains, you need to have a two way trust between the machines for it to work.
And the account running QlikView Directory service needs to have read rights to Active Directory, or you specify an account with rights when setting up your ldap query.
