Can we selectively enable clone for users on access point in QV 11?

What kind of object are you trying to clone? Remember clone feature is not available for all objects such as Table box. You can clone a chart or pivot table or straight table but not table box.

Thanks.

Nice one Subash. I am troubleshooting why a user was not able to clone a list box and was afraid of this.

Is there a comprehensive list of what objects are able to be cloned? Reading the Reference Manual, the only explicit reference to the ability to "Clone" is made regarding charts, pivot tables, straight tables - as you mentioned. Everything else is referenced as an ability to Copy/Clone.

As was mentioned earlier, Clone is the same as Copy/Paste but for end users it can be confusing to see that option for some but not all objects.

Thanks Philip.

I'm not sure if there's a comprehensive list of objects that can be cloned. Usually what I do is, right click an object and see whether or not there's "CLONE" option. As far as end users are concerned, I think we have to educate them about the tool and its features although I agree with you that it can be confusing at times.
