Comparison Sales with period

Hello.

Can anyone tell me how to summarize the sales of the 2014 of May and the corresponding period of May 2013.

eg. 1-16/05/2013 and 1-6-/05/2014 in two expression columns Current Sales and Previous Sales by selecting the years and the month

Any help ?

Thank you in advance.

Andrei this does not work at all.

We have all the sales by day of May 2013.

We have also the sales of 1-15 May 2014.

How can i compare by clicking only the two years 2013 - 2014 and the month the two periods 1-15 May 2013 and

1-15 May 2014 in a chart by set analysis

If you built your Master calendar properly,then this should work automatically.

and you can use the Currentyear and lastyear flags

The fields i have are

YEAR_ID

STORE_ID

ITEM_ID

SALES

QTY

and i collect the data into a qvd by month.

What do you mean to built my Calendar properly ?

Hm... You should add in Set Analysis expression days or intervals (1-15). Smth like that:

=sum({$<Year={$(=Year)},Day={"<=15"}>}Sales) - first expression

=sum({$<Year={$(=Year-1)},Day={"<=15"}>}Sales) - second expression

Anyway you should consider your days in Set Analysis.
