Disable update functionality

Hello,

Help file says it is possible to disable the update functionality:

"This feature may be permanently disabled by the system administrator in certain environments."

My question is how? Is it done via group policy, or settings.ini or registry or? I tried looking at the reference manual and the forums but was not able to find any information. Please help

Hi vasilcho,

If you are trying to disable the update of qlikview desktop you need to open qlikview desktop -> Help -> Qlikview Update ... -> check "Manual Only".

I know about this, what I am looking for is a way to disable the entire menu/dialog so users cant even see it

I'm sure this is just a variable that needs to be set in Settings.ini - does anyone have the name of the variable?
