Does QlikView Deallocate Memory?

Hi,

I have been facing some memory issues. Memory allocation starts when I do reload. After this the system becomes more slow and requires me to restart. After restart reload is faster until I encounter more issues. Does QlikView not deallocate memory. Any ideas on how I resolve the memory issue?

Thanks,

Rajesh Vaswani

I´ve the same problem.

Sunday = 150 GB memory allocated

Monday = 170 GB memory allocated

Tuesday = 190 GB memory allocated

On this three days, I´ve the same users and the same qvw application size. I believe that Qlikview doesn´t deallocate memory correctly because it´s a Windows Application, but it´s a problem request customer to "restart your qlikview services"

Yes and No.

No, there is no memory leak - that we know of. And we test this thoroughly. Should we find a memory leak, then we treat this as a bug.

Yes, QlikView's cache does increase in size and this is intentional, since it improves performance. But it can be bad for other programs. You can limit the cache size by changing the Working Set limits. For the Desktop you find this under User Preferences, General and for the Server you find it under the Performance tab under QlikView servers.
