Hi All,
Need your help urgently.
I have created one Drill Down Group named 'Details'
Under 'Details' we are using 3 fields:Status,Priority,Risk
Created Bar chart using Details group in Dimension:
It is working in following way:
With most of the data it is working fine. But issue is that for some of the data when i am clicking on Status
it is not showing Priority data and directly showing Risk data.
Can you please help me in identifying issue and can suggest how to resolve it.
Thanks in Advance,
Hello,
I have seen that happen on drill downs when the data for the one field is identical to the other. It skips to the the lowest level. EG.
Category 1=BREAD
Category 2=WHITE
Category 3=WHITE
a drill down will skip to Category 3
If you have
Category 1=BREAD
Category 2=WHITE
Category 3=SLICED
the drill down stops at each level....
That is what I see in mine, I often have duplicates at different levels..
Petra
The drill-down function automatically goes down to the next level when there is only one value on the current level. So what happens is most likely that you for some data only have one value in your Priority field.
Thanks for prompt response. Seems same issue is in my case.
How can we resolve it as i need to show all the data irrecpective of duplicates.
Thanks in Advance,
If you make a selection in Status and then only have one value in Priority, the drill-down will automatically take you down to the Risk level. This cannot be changed.
If you still want to show the Priority level, although there is only one bar, then you should change the group to “Cyclic” instead of “Drill-down”.
Im having the same issues here.
So if im getting this right there is no way to work around this?
My Drill down is based on Accountgrouping - Accountnr&Name - Voucher
Im having the same issue in to different reports and they are both financial drill down reports solely used for reporting and analyzing.
We have several departments, so there will always be some departments that will return on one account in the second drilldown.
I there a way to go around this to tell Qv to not skip to next level?
The definition of a drill-down is to automatically skip to the next level when there is only one value. So, that is what QlikView does if you have chosen a drill-down group.
If you instead want to manually decide when you change level, you can define it as a cyclic group. Same logic, but now you can decide yourself when to skip to next level.
HIC
Use Cyclic group, for identical values drill down advances to another level.......
