There is no specific rules for folder structure . It's based on the QV Architecture that you are following in your project.

Main strategy is to separate out all Workbook, QVD, Models , Include file , Data , Batch.

Sunil

Hello,

As per my understanding, 2 things are getting mixed. Folder Structure (generic term) and Stage2 and Stage 3 architecture data model for Qlikview.

Please find in attachment knowledge about architecture. For each architectural layer you will be having a folder to store the files, this will automatically define your folder structure.

Which ever stage type data model you wish, you can define folder structure as well.

Thanks,

Singh

Hi

If you are learning qlikview then it is recommended to go thru Qlikview 11 developer book also.

everything will be described  pretty well there..

in real world folder structure will be based on your environment.

you have to maintain all apps, qvd ,data files in different folder.

Regards,

Pooja

Dear Varma,

Check this folder structure:-

App.Name(Root Folder)->1. Data Sources->1. Images

                                                                       2. QVD-> 1. Level1 QVD's(Only Extracted Data)

                                                                                       2. Level2 QVD's(Transformed Data)

                                                                       3. UserDocs->(App User Documents).

                                          2. QVW -> 1. Generators.QVW

                                                            2.  Main_app.QVW

Thanks & Regards
